Google’s See-through Billboard Campaign
I love interesting, non-traditional media campaigns and thought this was really great. I’m still trying to dig up who it was developed by or what agency was the brainchild for this, but I do know that it was produced for Google Video Germany, and is an outdoor campaign for Google Video using see-through billboards. They just changed the URL to things like “people eating hot dogs” or “people crossing the street” and other things and created a live “video” billboard. The tag – Any Film You Can Imagine – is great.
I love anything that makes people stop, react or interact. Do you see immediate benefits with sales increase? No. Of course not. It’s about image, and getting people talking. It’s about starting a buzz. Word-of-mouth PR. Brilliant.
